VN readies for hosting Japan-DPR Korea talks
VNGOVNet – Vietnam welcomes the decision made by Japan and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to hold a bilateral negotiation on normalizing their relationship in Hanoi on March 7-8/2007.
The Vietnam Foreign Ministry spokesman Lê Dũng stressed so in a regular press briefing on March 1. “We hope that the talks will come to positives outcomes which help speed up the normalization of the relation between the two countries, contributing to peace and stability in the region”, Mr. Dũng said. He asserted that Vietnam is ready to make effective contributions to the smooth organization of the talks.
The Spokesman also added that Vietnam hails important results gained in the fifth round of the six-party negotiation on the nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula and recent positive progresses in the relationship between the DPRK and concerned countries, added the Spokesman.
